To ensure that law enforcement personnel that are killed in the line of duty in the state of Kentucky are provided for financially and that they are honored in a fitting manner. The monument in front of the state training academy holds names of the lost, where they may be given respect at any time by their peers. We award educational scholarships to dependents yearly, provide medical and emergency assistance to officers/deputies that have unexpected expenses come up, and provide a line-of-duty death benefit to the family of a slain law enforcement officer within 48 hours of death.
